Itinerary
Day 1 Individual international travel to 'the city of water and light', Venice, Italy.
Day 2 Arrive Venice. City tour and thru the Italian countryside to overnight at charming Villa Luppis.
Day 3 Villa Luppis cooking school. Trieste, Italy and on to explore Croatia’s Istrian region. Visit the old Roman port of Pula with its 1st century amphitheatre.
Day 4 The Adriatic coastal town of Lovran was a popular resort destination among European nobility.
Day 5 Explore the enchanting Istria Peninsula and the world’s smallest city Hum— lunch in the Konoba Hum. Visit the picturesque fortified hilltop city, Motovun.
Day 6 Travel down the scenic Dalmatian coastline to the [UNESCO World Heritage] ancient walled city Trogir.
Day 7 Visit Split, the home of Roman emperor Diocletian’s Summer Palace. Free time. Board the Jadrolinija ferry docking at Stari Grad (Old Town) on Hvar Island; vineyard wine tasting in the medieval village Vrbonski.
Day 8 Explore Hvar Town on the sunniest of Croatia’s more than one thousand islands.
Day 9 Ferry and coach to “The Pearl of the Adriatic,” Dubrovnik—a magical walled city with narrow streets and intimate shops.
Day 10 After breakfast, tour the highlights of historic Dubrovnik. Walk the medieval wall. Free time to relax.
Day 11 Depart Dubrovnik for the USA or extend on a special three-day tour of Montenegro.
